A U.S citizen originally from Cameroon, West Africa, Kenneth is the second of seven children born in 1963 as a
premature baby to his Royal Highness Chief and Mrs. J.E. Etta. Now residing in Houston, Texas, he stands 5’9” and
weighs 250 lbs. with 22” biceps. From his early teens Kenneth was athletically inclined and fascinated by the physique
of the legendary Charles Atlas. At the age of 11, he joined a strength feat team, competed in track and field (100, 200
meters and relays) and even ventured into martial arts as well.
Though Kenneth grew up in a religious home, having been baptized and quite involved in the ceremonial routines of the
denominational church he attended, he didn’t know Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. As a teenager, he had
disrespect for authority at home and at school, as well as a taste for the nightlife in disco bars, which only further
distanced him from his academic goals. As a teenager Kenneth had experiences of a spiritual nature and realized he
was not ready for the return of the Lord Jesus. He also had dreams and encounters with demonic beings - a reality that
was frightful as well. At the age of 21, He was faced with the most daunting question of my existence, which was a quest
to find the meaning of my life.
Frightened by the reality of Jesus’ return and knowing He wasn’t ready to meet his Maker and didn’t want to go to hell,
Kenneth convinced himself that he had to become a good person to be accepted by God and gain access to Heaven. For
12 months, he performed good works - regular church attendance, Bible reading, prayer and changing his sinful ways to
the best of his human ability. However, at the end of 12 months, his character change only proved futile. He cried out to
God for answers and a voice told me to consult with a friend who would tell me what he needed to do to be saved. That
action led to his born again experience on March 15, 1985. The very first thing he felt was the peace of God that
surpasses all understanding. The demonic attacks decreased and then ceased as Kenneth grew in the knowledge of
the Lord and the power of the name of Jesus.
In 1986, Kenneth moved to the U.S where he graduated from the University of Minnesota. In 1988, he began his ministry
as an evangelist to some of the most liberal universities in the U.S. In 1993, he began his competitive bodybuilding
career in Minnesota. He won many local, state, regional and international contests, rising to professional ranks with a
reputation as one of the most gifted and greatest natural bodybuilders of all time. In 2001, Kenneth began the teaching
phase of Kenneth Etta Ministries, traveling and strengthening the body of Christ through teaching the Word as the Lord
opened the doors. He also started MUSCLES a monthly e-mail teaching.
In 2002, he also commenced traveling with strength feat evangelistic teams into public schools, conducting motivational
assemblies and crusades in churches, reaching the lost with the life-saving message and power of Jesus Christ.
